wintery days.

I've been absent from the internet this past week, due to a winter induced cold. The temperatures are dropping rapidly and I've been suffering away, bundling myself up and still trying to ready myself for Stockholm.

What better way to come back here than with a selection of wonderful winter treats, perfect to keep cosy in and enjoy looking at too!

A fantastic collection of tights available at Patternity. I'm enjoying geometric prints lately and these would look wonderful matched with a plain skirt.

Hilary Grant makes very pretty knitwear and textiles. I'm very fond of her scarves, I have my eye on the yellow pylon pompom. Even better, handmade in Scotland (it could be here before I get to Stockholm!).

All for everyone hats are wonderful, I'm not sure that I could pick one, to be honest..

Okay, so Leah's scarf isn't very winter inspired. But I love it, and can imagine it adding a dash of coral to a dreary day.

All this excitement of Sweden made finding these lovely mittens even sweeter. Pretty, handmade, hand-dyed creations in a rainbow of colours!

I've had Yokoo bookmarked for years now, but I've still yet to purchase one of her knitted wonders. They look so cosy, not to mention how brilliant the styling is.

Update on 12 by 2012 very soon. Keep warm everyone!

I discovered this list on Pinterest and I find it wonderfully inspiring.

If anyone knows the original source, please let me know, I can't find it anywhere!

twelve by 2012

I'm awful at motivation with long hefty to-do lists, I started a 101 in 1001 list a while back but it got forgotten along with new years resolutions and eating more vegetables. The lovely Danni has come up with the fun and lovely idea to create a list of 12 things to do between now and the change of the year. I figured with such a small list and a short space of time, I could give this a go!

1. Have this blog up and running and gathering some followers (here's hoping!)
2. Take a sewing class to brush up on my skills
3. Linked to the above; create a fully lined tote bag from a pattern
4. Keep my Pinterest account busy each week
5. Take a post-engagement trip with my other half
6. Dye my hair an autumn inspired shade of deep red
7. Remember to take ten minutes per day for mindful meditation
8. Write a weekly list of things I am grateful for
9. Go to the gym once a week!
10. Finish two of the 5 million (a slight exaggeration) books I have on the go
11. Thoroughly sort and organise my Google Reader
12. Take a long wintery walk

I have taped a copy next to my desk as a reminder, I'm determined to get these finished by 2012! Thanks for the lovely idea, Danni.

I have rediscovered a brand of bags that I favourited on Etsy several years ago. I've been on the hunt for a simple clutch that could turn into a shoulder bag for quite some time. Granted, it's not leather (my material of choice); however I seem to have found the perfect bag.

Moop bags are stylish but comfortably basic. They look great without feeling like they'll go out of date with the turn of the season; making them timeless and classic.

Not to mention the styling of them is utterly wonderful.

Available here and on Etsy.

stockholm & quick links.

Back from beautiful Stockholm

Only 16 days until I'm headed to Stockholm, to embrace the cold weather, wonderful city and great style. For now though, the weather only just cooling down here in the UK, it's hard to work in some autumn/winter clothes when the sun comes out 20 minutes later. But nevertheless, I'm coveting various coats, scarves and warm winter essentials constantly.

Try out some of these lovely ideas on The Freedom Experiment. Guaranteed to add a little sparkle.

Jeana Sohn and Claire Cottrell have produced another charming Closet Visit Video, watch it here and prepare yourself to run off and attempt to recreate it in your garden.

A lovely jewellery discovery over at Fail Jewelry thanks to Unruly Things. I adore this hide cuff.

Wendy

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a print of the lovely image above of the cutest Miss Wendy, from Kate at For Me, For You. The even more wonderful news is that the purchase of the print enabled me to donate money to Kate and Will, her boyfriend, as he was diagnosed with cancer recently. They are a wonderful couple and I am so glad to be able to help them, even in the smallest of ways. All the best to both of them for their future.

Read about them and send your love here and get your hands on some wonderful prints and artwork here.
